Events Happening

PickleBall

Join us for pickleball at Cedar Hill Baptist Church every Tuesday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the gym! Whether you're a beginner or have been playing for years, all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to come be a part of the fun. We provide paddles and balls, so there’s no need to purchase anything—just show up ready to play and enjoy the fellowship. First-time participants will need to sign a waiver before playing. Come connect, stay active, and enjoy a great time together!

Walk in the Word

Walk in the Word is an in-depth Bible study designed for the ladies of our church, meeting on campus each Thursday morning at 10:00 AM in room 102 behind the chapel. This study is DVD-driven, providing rich, biblically grounded teaching that leads into meaningful group discussion and conversation. It’s a welcoming environment where women can grow deeper in their understanding of God’s Word, share insights, and encourage one another in their walk with Christ.

Weekly

Be a Man

In a society that constantly tries to define who we are, this men’s Bible study is centered on being grounded in our identity in Christ. We meet every Sunday morning at 7:30- 8:30 AM in the choir room off the main sanctuary. This is a relaxed and welcoming environment where men can grow together, be encouraged, and be challenged to become the men God has called them to be. Through Scripture, conversation, and fellowship, this time is designed to strengthen your walk with the Lord and build authentic connections with other men on the same journey.

Ladies Prayer Group

Our Tuesday evening ladies prayer group meets at 5:30 PM each week in the sanctuary. This is an intentional time set aside for women in our church to come together in prayer. This gathering is focused on lifting up our church, its ministries, and the needs within our congregation and community. In a spirit of unity and faith, ladies are encouraged to join as we seek the Lord, support one another, and faithfully intercede for what God is doing in and through Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

Choir Practice

In a world that is seeing less and less choirs, Cedar Hill has been blessed to continue to use this facet of worship each Sunday. Our choir is a vital part of leading our church in praise, and we welcome anyone who has a heart to sing and worship to come be a part. Whether you have years of experience or simply enjoy lifting your voice to the Lord, there is a place for you here. The choir meets each Sunday afternoon at 4:45 PM in the sanctuary as we prepare to glorify God together through music.

Wednesday Activities

Wednesday nights at Cedar Hill are designed for the whole family, with something meaningful for every age. We begin with a safe and welcoming nursery, staffed by skilled, background-checked volunteers. Our children enjoy a fun evening that starts with pizza, followed by engaging Bible teaching on their level and songs they love—many of which they share with our church on Sunday mornings. Our youth gather for their own service that includes worship centered around music they connect with and a challenging message from our student pastor. Meanwhile, adults spend intentional time praying over our church’s needs before diving into an interactive, discussion-driven Bible study led by our senior pastor. Wednesday nights at Cedar Hill are designed to help us grow in our faith by teaching God’s Word in a way that makes life and Christianity relevant in our everyday lives.

At Cedar Hill Baptist Church, our Food Pantry ministry is a hands-on way we serve and love our community. Each month, our dedicated team prayerfully plans and purchases needed items while also communicating to our church family which groceries are needed. Throughout the entire month, our congregation brings in these items, working together to prepare for distribution. On the third Tuesday of every month at 10:00 AM, we open our doors to serve, typically providing for 65–70 families in our community. This ministry is more than meeting physical needs—it’s a powerful outreach opportunity where relationships are built and lives are impacted. Many meaningful friendships have grown through serving in the food pantry, and we would love for you to be a part of it. If you’re interested in getting involved, be sure to mention it to someone at the Welcome Center table on Sunday morning.

Our Men’s Brotherhood Breakfast at Cedar Hill Baptist Church is a meaningful time of connection, encouragement, and purpose. We gather on the second Saturday of each month at 8:30 AM for fellowship, prayer, and a short devotion as we seek to grow together as godly men. This is also a time where we collaborate on how to intentionally engage and impact our community for Christ. There is no cost to attend, though some feel led to give in support of this ministry. One of the highlights of the morning is enjoying Cedar Hill’s famous homemade biscuits and gravy—something you won’t want to miss! We strongly encourage our men to lead by example by bringing their kids or grandkids along each month. And if you’re a man who enjoys being in the kitchen, we would love for you to get involved by helping cook. Simply stop by the Welcome Center on Sunday morning, and someone will connect you with one of our deacons to get you plugged in.

Outreach

Our goal at Cedar Hill is to be intentional in everything that we do. One way we live this out is through our outreach ministry, which is organized into two teams that meet once a month—one on the second Monday and the other on the fourth Monday. This new and expanded ministry will launch in August of 2026. During these times, we will focus on connecting with people by touching base with shut-ins, contacting visitors, and inviting prospects to church. This outreach includes writing letters, making phone calls, sending texts, and even in-person visits. We will gather in the gym at 6:30 PM and finish by 7:30 PM, making it an easy and impactful way to serve. This ministry in the past has become a strong part of building our church by intentionally reaching the unchurched in our community. If you’re interested in getting involved with Cedar Hill outreach, stop by the Welcome Center desk and ask about outreach—we would love to get you connected.

The Ronnie Arnold Memorial Golf Tournament is a cherished ministry of Cedar Hill that began nearly three decades ago through the vision of former pastor Bro. Ronnie Arnold. His heart was to create a way for the church to meet real needs within our community, and this annual tournament continues that mission by raising funds for benevolence. These funds help families facing unexpected expenses, financial burdens, and also provide meals for church families who have recently lost a loved one. This ministry is faithfully overseen by the deacons of Cedar Hill, who prayerfully step in to meet needs whenever they arise. The tournament is made possible through generous hole sponsors and participants who play each year, typically held on the last Wednesday of August at the Greens at Deerfield. If you are interested in sponsoring or getting involved, please contact the church office.

Each year, Cedar Hill sends our youth to FUGE Camp, a Southern Baptist–affiliated camp that has been impacting students for nearly five decades. FUGE provides a fun, high-energy environment where students are challenged to grow in their faith and become difference-makers in their everyday lives. This opportunity is made possible through the generosity of our church family, who give and support various fundraisers throughout the year. Over the past three years, we have seen nearly 50 students come to know Christ, and we believe FUGE has played a significant role in many of those life-changing decisions to follow Him.

For over a decade, Cedar Hill Baptist Church has been blessed to serve as a six-county drop-off location for Samaritan’s Purse through Operation Christmas Child. What began as an opportunity to serve has grown into a thriving ministry, as we continue to find new and intentional ways for our entire church family to be involved in packing shoeboxes. Each year, we receive and process over 10,000 boxes that are sent to unreached people groups around the world, sharing the love of Christ in a tangible way. This ministry continues to grow and expand at Cedar Hill, as more individuals and families from our community join in to make an eternal impact. If you are interested to learn more about this ministry, stop by the welcome desk to learn more about this exciting ministry. Vacation Bible School at Cedar Hill is a special week we set aside each year to pour into our children and present the Gospel in a way that is engaging, meaningful, and life-changing. Throughout the week, kids experience fun, interactive lessons, music, and activities that help them understand the love of Christ on their level. We wrap up this incredible week with a celebration that includes a commencement program, a catered meal from Buddy’s BBQ in Knoxville, and water inflatables for the kids to enjoy—all as we rejoice in everything Christ has done in their hearts during VBS.

Church Cantatas

Each year at Cedar Hill, we present two special cantatas at Christmas and Easter that we often refer to as celebrations of the two most important moments in Christianity—the birth of Christ and the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. These services are designed to clearly present the Gospel in meaningful and creative ways, incorporating narration, video elements, our orchestra, and the involvement of our youth and children. Through these powerful presentations, we share not only why Jesus was born, but also why He gave His life for us all.
