12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, make haste to help me.
14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.
17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God. ~Psalm 40:12-17 kjv
How can I ever begin to thank you for your outpouring of blessings and love on my birthday? Sometimes, we can get our lives in a dark place because we lose our focus on the Father and only see the circumstances about us.
Our trouble is that we have such a puny microscope idea about God. We scale Him down to our size or we make Him just a little bigger than ourselves. We need to think great thoughts of God. We need to magnify Him. We need to think of Him in terms of all the suns and starts of space, all of which are mere pebbles under His feet. Magnification always glorifies God. We can take anything man has made, put it under a microscope, magnify it, and its defects and imperfections will be exposed; but put the works of God under a microscope, magnify them, and more and more wonders will be seen! Magnification only glorifies God. It is the work of the scientist to magnify God as Creator; it is the work of us saints to magnify God as Redeemer.
Thank you for being used of The Father to remind me just how much of His love we have shared over the years. Cedar Hill is the greatest place anyone could have to serve God, and I pray He leaves me here until I take my last breath. Obviously, my role will be changing, but as you have shown, His uplifting grace to me will always be here, because of you!!!
