Pastor Ronnie Arnold

Pastor Ronnie Arnold married his high school sweetheart, Kathy, in 1974 and they began their lives together.  Prior to entering the ministry, he pursued his career as an engineer after graduating from the University of Tennessee.  Although Pastor Ronnie made his plans, the Lord was ordering his steps.  He gave his life to the Lord on October 8, 1981.

After struggling with how the Lord would direct him for 2 years, he led his wife and 2 young children to move from Knoxville to enroll in Mid-American Theological Seminary in Memphis.  While in seminary, he became involved in the Arkansas Baptist Association Church Apprenticeship Program where he planted a church, Gilmore Baptist Chapel, in Gilmore, Arkansas and served for 5 years.

Upon graduating from seminary with his Masters of Divinity, the Lord called Pastor Ronnie to Cedar Hill Baptist Church in LaFollette, TN where he has served for over 20 years since October of 1989.

When the Arnolds moved from Memphis to LaFollette their family had grown from 2 children to 3 then soon after arriving in LaFollette their last addition arrived.  The Arnolds now have 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren. Under Pastor Ronnie’s leadership the church has remodeled the old sanctuary which is now referred to as “The Chapel” and built a Family Life Center with a gymnasium and multiple additional classrooms.

The parsonage was built for the pastor’s family to reside in 1990 where they lived for 9 years but has now been converted into the Youth House.  After 14 years of holding 2 Sunday morning services, on December 18, 2012, the church opened the doors to the new sanctuary on what our Cedar Hill family affectionately calls “Miracle Day”.
